The Short Version
I am a Senior Technical Support Engineer with over 10 years of experience, currently pivoting into Cloud Architecture and DevOps. I have spent my career solving complex technical problems for Fortune 500 companies, and I now leverage that deep troubleshooting instinct to build reliable, automated, and secure infrastructure.
My Background
I started in IT doing desktop support but quickly specialized in server infrastructure. During my tenure at Trustwave, I advanced to enterprise-level Tier 3 escalations, supporting critical financial and healthcare institutions.
My core expertise includes:
- Linux Administration: Deep diagnostics of RHEL-based security appliances and database servers.
- Virtualization: Managing heterogeneous environments including VMware ESXi, XenServer, and Hyper-V.
- Database Systems: Troubleshooting Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
- Network Security: Traffic analysis and configuration for Fortinet and Palo Alto appliances.
The Pivot: From Fixing to Building
While I thrive on the problem-solving aspect of support, my professional focus has shifted from maintaining infrastructure to architecting it. To bridge this gap, I have:
- Earned the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS).
- Achieved the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) and Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Architected a home Kubernetes cluster to master container orchestration and microservices.
- Adopted Terraform to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud resources.
